In Russia, 145 students are being persecuted for their political views, of which 43 are in prison, reports the human rights project OVD Info. Among them are Daria Kozyreva, Dmitry Ivanov, Daniil Vodolagin, Anna Arkhipova, Denis Eroshin, Alina Olekhnovich, Ivan Trofimov and Ulkyar Gashimova. As noted by OVD-Info and the “NeMoscow Speaks” project, students are increasingly being punished for their opinions: from reprimands and expulsion from universities to criminal prosecution.
