A student created a free “robot lawyer” that helped London residents challenge 160,000 parking fines.
British sophomore Joshua Browder created the DoNotPay bot, which allows users to dispute a parking ticket for free in a chat-like interface in less than a minute. The service was launched in London last fall. Since then, he has taken 250,000 complaints and won 160,000 of them, saving clients more than $4 million. In March, Joshua launched the service in New York, and plans to bring it to Seattle in the fall, reports VentureBeat .
