A Turkish citizen was detained in Georgia on suspicion of supporting Fethullah Gulen
On May 24, a Turkish citizen, one of the managers of the Tbilisi private college named after Demirel, Mustafa Emre Chabuka, was detained in Georgia. According to the JAMnews portal, the detention occurred, allegedly at the request of the Turkish authorities, who believe that he was assisting FETO, the organization of Fethullah Gülen, who is accused of organizing a military coup in Turkey on July 15, 2016. Türkiye demands the extradition of Chabuk.
