On July 18, 2013, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Vladimir Region announced the completion of the investigation of the criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 282.1 of the Criminal Code (creation of an extremist community) in relation to a 30-year-old resident of Vladimir. The case with the approved indictment was sent to the court for consideration on the merits.

On July 18, 2013, the investigative committee for the Ulyanovsk region announced that a criminal case had been opened against two local residents suspected under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred or enmity). According to the investigation, in early 2013, the suspects posted freely available on their accounts in one of the social networks text and photographs of " extremist content ".

On July 18, 2013, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation commuted the sentence in the case of the leader of the All-Russian People's Militia named after Minin and Pozharsky (NOMP) Colonel of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), retired Vladimir Kvachkov and a retired captain of the criminal investigation department from St. Petersburg Aleksey Kiselyov, who were accused of attempting to prepare an armed rebellion and facilitating terrorist activities.
