A bill on blocking Internet resources that restrict access to Russian media was introduced into the Duma
The deputies propose to impose "sanctions" against sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter for censoring Russian media. On November 19, 2020, a group of six deputies led by Alexander Khinshtein, as well as Senator Alexei Pushkov, introduced a bill to the State Duma to block Internet resources that, from the authorities’ point of view, unreasonably restrict the distribution of Russian media materials.
