On February 7, 2018, security forces raided the homes of Jehovah's Witnesses in Belgorod. Two believers were detained as suspects in a criminal case. On February 9, 2018, it became known that a criminal case had been opened in Belgorod under Part 2 of Art. 282.2 of the Criminal Code (participation in the activities of an extremist organization) in connection with the work of the local community of Jehovah's Witnesses.

In Kolomna, a 20-year-old local resident was fined for photographs and videos posted on a social network. In February 2018, the Kolomna City Court delivered a guilty verdict under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity) to a 20-year-old local resident. The court found that the young man posted photos and videos of " extremist content " on his page in one of the social networks. The court imposed a penalty in the form of a fine.

The court sentenced a resident of Kamyshin to five years in prison for Islamist posts on social media. February 9, 2018 reported on the sentence handed down to a 25-year-old resident of Kamyshin. The court recognized him guilty under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred or enmity on the grounds of nationality, attitudes towards religion committed using the Internet) and sentenced to 5 years in prison in a strict regime colony.

The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation allocated 5 million rubles for restoration of the cathedral in Kursk - an object of cultural heritage. On February 8, 2018, it became known that the Ministry Culture of the Russian Federation allocated 5 million rubles for the restoration of the Cathedral of the Znamensky Monastery. In Orenburg, a case was initiated against a 33-year-old resident of the city for xenophobic materials on the social network. According to the investigation, in the period from September to November 2017, the suspect posted xenophobic comments on his page in one of the social networks.

The Novosibirsk Regional Court ordered the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region restore the residence permit for a Catholic priest. On February 6, 2018, the Novosibirsk Regional Court canceled decision of the district court dated October 16, 2017 on the annulment of the the residence of the Catholic priest Janez Andrew Sever.

In Murmansk, the case of a local resident was brought to court for xenophobic publications on the VKontakte social network. In February 2018, the investigation was completed and the case of a resident of the city of Murmansk, accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting national hatred and enmity).
