The mayor of Berezovsky, a city where a “technical” candidate first beat him in the elections and then challenged her victory, resigned
On April 20, the Berezovsky Duma of the Sverdlovsk region accepted the resignation of the head of the city, Evgeny Pistsov. He has led the municipality since 2011 and, according to media reports, wrote a statement of his own free will, “in connection with the transition to a new position.” The resignation is the end of the protracted conflict surrounding the mayoral election.
